Naturally Crafted, the journey has been an adventure

As an adventure seeking travel photographer with a deep passion for exploring. My adventures have taken me across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, where I have immersed myself in many rich and diverse cultures. Traditional culture captivates me. I am endlessly fascinated by the people and their unique crafts.

In 2007, these passions culminated in the creation of Naturally Crafted, a specialised retail business offering, artisanal products from Asia, Africa, and South America. Our diverse range included clothing, accessories, furniture, jewellery, rugs, and wooden and metal sculptures, along with a line of organic coffee, teas, infusions, and spices.

Naturally Crafted paused for a time and I continued to travel during the winters. This allowed me to forge new connections, knowing that the time to bring back Naturally Crafted was approaching.

Travel inspired me to create First Step Adventure, a travel information website where I share my photography and knowledge gained, focusing particularly on Asia and East Africa. The site includes helpful links and information, and also showcases charities doing meaningful work in these regions. My contributions to Google Maps, with over 7 million views, are a way of assisting fellow adventure seekers on their journeys.

Now it is time to relaunch Naturally Crafted. Our collection showcases unique handcrafted wares from both new and established artisans. Many of these pieces are sourced from remote makers, making them truly bespoke. We also offer a selection of rare and unusual antique items.

Supporting traditional artisan craft makers in small cottage industries across Asia. I understand the importance of preserving and promoting these crafts, which are often integral to the cultural heritage of the communities that create them.
